About Metaboly

We built what we couldn't find.

Lab science, health records, and care coordination โ€” connected into one clear picture.

How it began

Seventeen doors.

We spent years adapting and validating health tools from human medicine for equine use. The work held up. What didn't was funding โ€” 17 applications across federal, provincial, and private programs. Each time, our work was considered credible. Each time, equine health was out of scope.

The science wasn't the problem. The infrastructure was. So we built it ourselves.

Why this had to be built

Science moved forward.
Equine care didn't.

Equine care is plagued by low funding, poor infrastructure, and missing integration.

01

The science already exists.

Heavy metal profiling, chemical residue screening, microbiome mapping, and nutrient analytics already exist as validated tools. The problem was translation: adapting these tools from human medicine to equine care.

02

Equine research is chronically underfunded.

Horses sit outside most of the funding structures that support animal research. Reports from the equine sector have explicitly identified unstable and insufficient funding as a persistent weakness, warning that without it, research progress will decline.

03

Care was left fragmented.

Records, feed history, laboratory findings, veterinary notes, performance patterns, and environmental exposures all tend to live in different places. The sector accumulated information, but not the systems to connect it.

What makes us different

Independent by design.

Three things set Metaboly apart โ€” and they shape every result we produce.

Capability
Capability

The leading edge.

Real analytical science, built to produce results that hold up on their own. No product story dressed as data.

Independence
Independence

No product push.

We do not use results to steer clients toward inventory โ€” our role is to clarify the problem, not manufacture the conclusion.

Research
Research

Tailored to fit.

We build tools the equine community has gone too long without. R&D priorities are set by what the community needs โ€” not by commercial relationships.

Our Values

Clarify the complex

We aim to simplify the complexities of equine health and help you make informed decisions based on data.

Uncover root causes

Our commitment to finding root causes and early detection of chronic conditions drives us. We're asking new and better questions, pushing the boundaries of what's possible.

Advance science collaboratively

Through collaboration across the scientific community, we forge paths to tools and products that directly impact equine care. Together, we're building solutions that matter.

Create evidence-based solutions

Data-driven insights inform everything we build. Our recommendations and tools are grounded in rigorous research and real-world equine biology.

Return value through discovery

Every insight we uncover flows back to you. Your data is at the heart of our discoveries, not just on the receiving end.

Protect privacy completely

We safeguard your data with advanced encryption and keep your identity separate from your health details. Your information is never sold or shared.

Privacy

Your data is not for sale.

Simple rule: your data works for the horse, the owner, and the care team.

We do not sell your data.

Not to feed companies, not to supplement makers, not to advertisers or data brokers lurking in the wings. Your horse's data isn't a product we quietly sell out back.

We do not run an advertising business.

No ads on the platform, no chasing your attention. We make money the old-fashioned way: making tools that actually help your horse.

Our incentives stay aligned.

What we earn goes back into better tools and sharper science, not into finding new ways to squeeze value from your data.

Discretion is part of the service.

Your records, your activity, your business, kept quiet. Privacy here isn't just a checkbox on a security form. It's a habit, built into how we work.
